The IFMA Sustainability Community is a strategic theme and core competency of the facility manager that touches every aspect of the association. The primary responsibility of ISC is to facilitate IFMA’s performance as a sustainable organization, develop the ISC Community, and provide input on the development of ISC as a core competency. To accomplish this responsibility, ISC shall work with staff and the ISC to identify and explore strategic and tactical initiatives related to sustainability in the built environment. Implementation is through approval of the board and incorporation into the strategic and tactical plans of the organization.
