My name is Rashiek Barber, and I am a dedicated engineering and facility management professional with over 24 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have taken on leadership roles for more than 16 years, serving as a supervisor and chief engineer. My expertise spans operations, maintenance, and sustainability initiatives, with a strong commitment to optimizing facility performance.
Currently, I am completing my Bachelor's degree in Facility Management at NYCCT CUNY, where I am actively engaged in research projects focused on reducing global warming, Invasive plants, Biodiversity & climate change. I am also a member of multiple honor societies and professional organizations, including the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) & NSCS National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I have a degree in environmental control technology and graduated top of class on the dean list as summa cum Laude with 4.0 GPA. I am passionate about mentorship and leadership, I actively encourage my peers to pursue professional growth through education and industry involvement.
Balancing my career, education, and family responsibilities, I am constantly striving to expand my knowledge and make a meaningful impact in the facility management industry. I have taking over 1500 Continuing Education courses in various areas of management and facilities operations.
