Now retired, worked 21 years in Facility Management.

Responsible for all areas of FM: site operations and related staffing, project management, strategic and tactical space planning, vendor management, office layouts and moves, design and construction management (office, warehouse, lab, clean rooms, training space), budget development and management (operational and strategic), customer satisfaction measurement and response, quality and process (including Lean Sigma projects), security, telecommunications, building and grounds, vending services, emergency response/disaster recovery planning
Now very involved with outreach to students and advisors to bring awareness of FM as a career path, through FM Pipeline: www.fmpipeline.org
In IFMA, I was a chapter Education Committee chair, VP, and President. Was a member, then Chair, of the International Education Committee during the period when academic guidance was being developed for FM degree programs and when the CFM was being first considered, then developed and launched. Developed and awarded the first IFMA student scholarships, funded by IFMA industry partners. Was awarded Distinguished Member award and Fellow from IFMA international.
