Bio

A seasoned engineering and project management professional with over two decades of diversified experience across facility management, construction, and infrastructure development, I bring a strong blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and strategic insight into the built environment.

With a foundation in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA with distinction, complemented by ongoing doctoral research in Business Management, my career reflects a consistent focus on optimizing facility performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and integrating modern technologies into infrastructure management.

Professional Journey & Facility Management Focus

My professional journey began in facility and maintenance engineering roles, where I developed hands-on expertise in managing complex building systems including HVAC, power generation, water systems, and MEP infrastructure. This early exposure shaped my long-term focus on ensuring functionality, reliability, and sustainability of facilities.

Over time, I progressed into leadership roles, notably serving as General Manager at Pakistan Expo Centres and currently as Director Projects at Presto Construction & Engineering, where I oversee large-scale infrastructure and facility operations.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in:

Operations and maintenance of large public facilities

Asset planning and lifecycle management

Preventive and predictive maintenance strategies

Energy optimization and system efficiency improvements

Vendor and supply chain management for facility services

Compliance with international standards and regulatory frameworks

A notable achievement includes significantly improving the efficiency of legacy HVAC systems, demonstrating my commitment to performance optimization and sustainable facility operations.

Integration of Technology in Facility Management

I strongly believe that the future of facility management lies in digital transformation. My work integrates:

BIM (3D, 4D, 5D) for lifecycle facility planning

Primavera & MS Project for operational scheduling

Oracle APEX and digital dashboards for performance monitoring

Data-driven decision-making through KPIs and analytics

This enables a shift from traditional maintenance approaches to smart, predictive, and performance-driven facility management systems.

Leadership, Training & Industry Engagement

Beyond operational roles, I am actively engaged in capacity building and professional development. I have trained professionals and students across leading institutions in areas such as:

Facility and operations management

Supply chain and procurement

Risk and project management

Digital construction tools and BIM

My affiliation with global bodies such as:

Project Management Institute
