We hope this finds you and yours well and strong!  Although everyday life is on hold, we want to offer you a chance in May to make a difference in the life of a potential future Facility Manager.

The FM Pipeline Team has been partnering with SkillsUSA in several states to offer a competition to introduce students to Facility Management concepts, to potentially entice them to learn more about FM careers.  The attached brochure gives an overview of this Facilithon program.

As expected, all in-person SkillsUSA competitions were canceled when COVID became a U.S. reality.

Even before many SkillsUSA in-person events were canceled, we were ready to support SkillsUSA by taking the Facilithon virtual:  Facilithon On-line!  With the support and assistance of SkillsUSA state  directors, we are preparing to  conduct an online Facilithon competition for SkillsUSA students,

    • to keep these students engaged in SkillsUSA,
    • to energize them about potential FM careers,
    • and to help fund those future studies.

We will need a number of on-line judges to hear and score the students' responses to the FM Scenario we present to them, just as we do in-person at a SkillsUSA state conference.  This is YOUR CHANCE to keep FM in the minds of SkillsUSA students and to potentially introduce it to many more, since they may not have other competitions available.

Your on-line judging would take place in a four-hour period.   Those dates are still TBD, but would most likely be in late May or early June.  You would receive all the information and instruction you need, in advance, and on-line technical support will be available to you throughout the competition.

May we count on you as a potential judge for Facilithon On-line?
