Bio

Navigating Change and Delivering Excellence in commercial construction and relocation projects.

CBSI is an award-winning certified DVBE and Certified Small Business in the state of California.

I joined CBSI in 1998 as a Project Manager. CBSI is a family-owned business that was started by Lou Suter in 1986. I have been the Vice President/Co-Owner since 2004. I am a Servant Leader by heart and my daily responsibilities include running the operations of the business, marketing, overseeing staff on the projects we are managing and managing multiple projects on my own. I have managed several ground up building projects, infrastructure upgrades, power plant upgrades, tenant improvements, along with multiple complicated relocation projects. Between 1998 and 2008 I managed over 50 projects for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District and spent 5 of those years as the acting Facilities Manager during the implementation of their $205M Construction Bond. Prior to working at CBSI, I was the Facility Manager at CCN, a local managed healthcare provider.

I am the President for the San Diego Chapter of the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA). I am a co-chair of the Communications Committee. In 2010 I redesigned and re-launched the chapter website. In May of 2012 I led the Communications Committee in developing the submittal for Excellence in Web Communication to IFMA International and in October of 2012, the chapter was presented the Award Of Excellence for that submittal. In April of 2013 I presented "Best Practices in Website Management" at IFMA's Facility Fusion event in Los Angeles.

My Personal Values - Faithful Husband, Good Father, Trusted Friend, Generous Giver, and A Servant Leader.
