Steve Mort is the National Owner Account Manager for Tremco. He works with Campus Architects, Construction Managers, and Facility Managers on Designing and Maintaining their assets.
His focus is on providing assistance to the invested parties, on how to optimize the building envelope and reduce operation costs through best practice building envelope design.
Steve spent 3 years living and working for Tremco in Australia, during which he helped various industry professionals navigate through generational changes in their building practices. Australia was also going through a boom of poor construction design, leading to a saturated market of problem buildings that needed cost effective rectification, which Steve helped provide feasible solutions for.
His desire to see good, sustainable, maintainable buildings built is primarily driven from seeing first hand the deleterious effects that bad building design/maintenance can have on the human body, primarily in the form of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome.
In his free time, he enjoys cooking outside on his 3 grills and spending time with his wife and newborn girl.
