I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1998 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Several years later, I started my career in the ergonomic industry, working under the direction of Dr. Jerome Congelton and Dr. Mark Benden - both renowned professors at Texas A&M University. I later became an independent Territory Sales Manager with Neutral Posture, where I found success in selling chairs and accessories to small business' and corporations in Houston, TX - often working through facilities and HSSE departments to meet demand or address special needs.
After 12 years in sales, I was offered an opportunity to join a team of ergonomist's at the new ExxonMobil campus in Spring, TX. As a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist, I had the opportunity to evaluate thousands of employees over a 4 year period. In my time here, I became a proponent of the open concept design, but understand the challenges it can create from a facilities and/or health and safety perspective.
In 2018, I jumped back into the furniture side of things as a Territory Sales Manager with BodyBilt/Ergogenesis, offering seating, sit/stand desks and accessories in the Greater Houston Area. With my background and knowledge, I can be an asset to facility managers and HSSE professionals alike - from product and design considerations, to ergonomic program assistance, including free assessments for special needs cases.
