Facility Shutdown! Recovering Building Operations after a Cyber Attack

In today's interconnected world, building control systems are increasingly vulnerable to cyberattacks. This presentation explores the facility manager’s roles in a comprehensive scenario involving a cyberattack on a facility's HVAC system.  The scenario will simulate a real-world incident where operations are disrupted, leading to significant downtime and equipment damage.  Participants will navigate through the incident with building owners, make critical decisions, and explore the impacts of their actions on the recovery process. This tabletop exercise aims to enhance participants' understanding of cybersecurity threats, improve their incident response strategies, and ultimately strengthen the resilience of building control systems against cyber threats.
